Raw Milk: The Whole Truth

Raw Milk drinkers have spoken loudly against AB 1735

We are rapidly meeting our fund raising goal for the legal defense of California raw milk. Handshakes and hugs for everyone! These funds will pay for the legal fees to stop AB 1735.

While we cannot openly and publicly describe the details of our legal and political strategy, we can report that our efforts are focused and gaining momentum and power. The assemblymen say they are hearing from you loud and clear. We need more of this, especially letters to Nicole Parra (see below).

It is unfortunate that CDFA has decided not to provide a promised second meeting for us to cooperatively work on AB 1735 issues. Instead, they have sent a letter stating they stand behind AB 1735 and will begin enforcement in January.

PLEASE be prepared to attend the upcoming hearings. We are told that very high turnout is crucial. We have recruited a panel of PhDs and MDs who are ready to testify at the hearings, and we need you too!

Help us collect the name and email address of every California raw milk drinker so when the time comes we can call on you to attend the hearings. It is essential that you attend in mass numbers. We also need you to be wearing your favorite Pro- Raw Milk clothing . Get them early and be ready to make yourself heard at the hearings.  

ACT NOW TO SAVE CALIFORNIA'S RAW MILK: 

Write or fax letters (no emails) to Nicole Parra, Chair of the Agriculture Committee in the Assembly. Make it personal and real by including a picture of you and your family holding raw milk containers. Tell her to introduce new legislation that will let raw milk continue to flow freely in California. Assemblymember Nicole Parra

Also write your assemblymembers or better yet make an appointment and plead your case directly.
Bring a friend to raw milk. This is critical for the success of raw milk in California. If you know anyone with immune depression, asthma, IBS, osteoporosis, arthritis, allergies – get them on raw milk and watch their health improve. 
Donate to the Raw Milk Political Action fund. As an added insurance policy, OPDC and Claravale are paying $10,000 per month to hire political consultants who can help manage complex issues in Sacramento. We are asking our consumers to help offset some of these costs, which are outside of our legal fees. Go here to learn how to donate. We will be attempting to raise $60,000 over six months. If everyone sends a little it will help out a lot. What ever is raised will be split between OPDC and Claravale Dairy evenly.
The holiday season is upon us. Let us hope and pray for good and healthy things to come, the most important of which is the health we enjoy because of whole unprocessed foods and our precious, sacred raw milk.

I see the light ...

Mark, Dale and I have all seen our review copies -  hot out of the box of post-production c/o " The Yuba Gals" and I am so relieved to hear Mark and Dale say they are really pleased with it!

I was up till about 5 AM this morning as a result of answering a certain e-mail that sent a tremor through me (with a magnitude I hadn't felt since the earthquake that shook L.A. in 1971)! Anyway, I am looking forward to having the final DVD  masters of this production in the foreseeable future ...  and what a happy day that will be!

 Then it will be onto the next phase consisting of the replication process that will last for about  couple more weeks (or longer). Maybe we will have final product by mid- December; just in time for Christmas! ...

I'm ... dreaming of a ... (raw milk) "white Christmas" ...

 Welcome friends of "Raw Milk" and all!
I believe these are certainly interesting times we are living in. I also believe it was the Hopi Indian prophesy that advised knowing where your water comes from and finding your way in the middle of the rushing stream. Do you have those bearings now?
Given the fullness of life as it now is , it is understandable that we may have to make some tough choices with how we spend our time.  Many of my choices now are about food. And wouldn't you expect that from a "chef"?

Now I am wearing an additional hat as executive producer of "The Raw Milk Controversy: Fact & Fiction - A Conversation with Mark McAfee and Dr. Dale Jacobson, DC" My review copy is expected on Thursday, November 15th, 2007.

I am so looking forward to viewing the full hour-long program as well as the additional 20 minutes of footage! I'm especially looking at the post-production work on this and hope everything is in good enough condition so we can proceed ASAP with the duplication process. I have a few potential distributors I want to send advance copies to.

I want to move the DVD product as quickly as possible and then proceed producing another program: a live-audience telecast with an expert panel on the legal situation now created by the State of California that could make it virtually impossible to legally sell raw milk in California (once again)! I believe there is a real urgency to not only alert as many of the people throughout the California "Republic" but allow them ways to access this program,  ask questions of the panel, etc. I would like to provide a web simulcast as well as radio simulcast. I will know more in the next day or so and update this.
