This article includes a very brief but important point in the history of milk pasteurization having been first applied prior to the invention of the refrigerator. But could cold refrigerated milk coming from the same unhealthy cows have prevented the sickness that people suffered from "distillery dairies"? I don't think so!

It is my intention to encourage certain organizations that advocate for people's rights (i.e. having access to the foods of their choice) include some elementary (early American Fifth Grade) references in Fundamental Law regarding those limitations that have been placed on the federal government so that people are more fully informed. Especially when federal agencies attempt to impose obligations under "Acts of Congress" as it pertains to certain food issues like the commercial availability of raw milk! I will post updates of any developments along these lines! As I write this the thought comes to me to consider producing a video on this!

My first memories of a direct farm contact was in the southern most part of Wisconsin in the early 60's. Having been raised a city boy the experience of feeding pigs the "slop" from our camp kitchen was a major and memorable event! Years later at the same camp I got a position in the kitchen washing pots and pans and was literally baptized into kitchen work! From then on it was a slow but progressive development of cooking skills that eventually led to a full spectrum of cook positions in many different food service venues. After working as a head cook at the Conrad Hilton Hotel in the late 70's (during the time they captured several gold medals in culinary art competition) I realized my interest in food was more about nourishing than any culinary art was concerned with.
